Red Dragon Junk
The Legend Returns
Born from legend and reimagined for today, Red Dragon carries the spirit of Vietnam’s ancient merchant ships that once set sail from Van Don Port during the Ly Dynasty. Inspired by her wooden predecessor, she has been reborn in steel with just 8 cabins – designed to honor tradition while embracing modern comfort.
Every detail of Red Dragon shows her dual identity: a boutique junk that embodies cultural heritage and timeless elegance, yet offers privacy and contemporary conveniences. With her bat-wing sails and graceful silhouette, she is not just a cruise vessel, but a living symbol of history, artistry, and refined travel.
Our Story
Built from Vietnamese hardwood and meticulously finished by hand, Red Dragon preserves the soul of a traditional junk while embracing the comfort of modern travel. Every detail reflects cultural heritage: silk cushions, lotus-inspired fretwork, woven rattan, and warm brass accents – each chosen to evoke the romance of a bygone era.
This is more than a cruise; it is a journey into tradition, where craftsmanship, heritage, and refined hospitality come together. The reborn Red Dragon carries with it nearly two decades of history and the timeless spirit of Indochina Junk, inviting guests to experience both authentic charm and contemporary ease on the waters of Halong Bay.
