Our Mission

Visitors have to-date only discovered about one quarter of the total area of the UNESCO World Natural Heritage Halong Bay. Three quarters of the remaining unexplored area is in Bai Tu Long Bay.

In order to enable visitors to explore the magnificent, primitive and unsullied beauty of Bai Tu Long Bay, together with our professional staff, Indochina Junk has spent many years researching the design for the most luxurious of boats. Our visitors will experience the natural wonders of Halong Bay by kayaking, fishing, dining on the beach or in a cave and cruising among the thousands of karst islands rising steeply from the sea. You will talk with local people to discover their culture, their work to protect the environment and the daily routines in the fishing villages…

Since its establishment, Indochina Junk, has identified and developed a sustainable business associated with environmental protection, to help fishermen who live in Halong Bay. In coordination with the Halong Bay Management Board, we have developed the program “For a Green Halong Bay.” Supported by the government and local residents, this program ensures a future pristine environment so visitors will continue to visit our bay. It has 2 projects, the collection and treatment of waste and mangrove reforestation in Bai Tu Long Bay, and the building of cultural houses and schools in fishing villages.

Our Story

Indochina Junk has focused on developing luxury boats to bring guests to the remote areas in the bay, and we train our staff in the highest standards of customer service.

We have built 5 types of high quality boats – L’Amour Junk, Prince junk, Red Dragon junk, Dragon Pearl junk and Dragon Legend cruise. Each boat has a number of staff from different regions in Vietnam. After studying tourism or the culinary arts, the crews are trained in skills relevant to our specialized tours. A trip on one of our junks leaves both passengers and crew with a greater understanding of each other.

Thanks to our staff’s efforts, in 2008 Indochina Junk was voted in the top 5 companies with the highest quality of service in Halong by its customers. In 2009, our company was the only company in Halong selected as having the best quality products and services by the Vietnam Small and Medium Enterprise Association. Indochina Junk has also continuously received “TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence” since 2012.

Responsible Travel

We actively operate and join various responsible travel campaigns to protect the Halong Bay environment and support the local community. We commit to applying sustainable practices to the entire working process and influence other partners, customers to do the same.

“For a green Halong Bay” is one of our responsible travel program operated since 2007 to raise awareness of environment protection and local community support. The project of collecting rubbish on the sea water continues to be well implemented and achieves positive results. Many visitors appreciate this effort and support the project so much. It is also a precious learn of protecting the environment and sharing benefits with local people.

The Happy Team

Cruising on Halong bay, you are not just sailing on a trip but you are sailing with a young enthusiastic onboard crew, they are the friendliest people on the earth to treat you as a friend visiting home but keep professionally in service.

Our people work with pride and passion to bring you the best authentic travel experience on Halong Bay. They will make your cruise the highlight of Vietnam vacation.

The food was delicious and plentiful. The rooms were beautiful and the beds were comfortable. It was relaxing and peaceful, but there were a lot of activities to keep us busy. They also take the time to explain the itinerary to you and also educate you on the “green bay” initiative which looks to try and keep the local area pollution free. I would love to go back and do it again!

What a wonderful experience in Bai Tu Long Bay. Wonderful itinerary planned and executed by the team. We even got a surprise honeymoon cake! Glass water bottles and the Green Ha Long Bay initiative is also a plus! The lunch and dinner was top notch dining experience. The rooms were big and 6 star quality. Awesome cruise!
